Frequently asked questions

What is a color harmony?

A harmony is a set of coherent colors obtained by rotating the base hue at precise angles: complementary (180°), analogous (neighboring hues), triadic (120°), tetradic (90°) and split-complementary (±150°).

What is the difference between OKLCH and HSL?

OKLCH is a perceptually uniform color space: at equal lightness, colors look equally bright, which is not the case in HSL. OKLCH is ideal for building consistent scales and gradients.

Are the conversions accurate for print?

The CMYK shown is an sRGB→CMYK approximation without an ICC profile. For accurate print output, refer to your printer's color profile.
